My wife, who has advanced Alzheimer’s, has been at Oak Park Manor since April of 2006. I come and visit her every day at different times and cannot find anything negative to say about this facility.
It is clear that the Administrator is a hands-on manager, a problem solver, as well as highly motivated and her positive and forward thinking is reflected in the attitudes of her staff. Most of the staff have worked at the Manor for years and all are well trained, friendly and personable.
All in all, I feel relaxed and comfortable knowing that my wife is receiving the best care possible under the circumstances.
A few years ago, our mother’s dementia progressed to the point where we, as a family could no longer provide the 24 hour care that she required. So we began our exhaustive search for a dementia care facility that would meet not only her needs but our expectations for care.
When I walked into Oak Park Manor, I immediately felt the difference between Oak Park and the many places that I had previously visited. It was neat, clean and odorless. It looked and felt homey and friendly. I was, and still am convinced that this is a place our mom could call home.
I give Oak Park 5 stars. Under the leadership of the administrator, Gladys Miranda, the quality of life provided for our mom is beyond compare. The nursing staff is outstanding and the exceptional caregivers are sincerely loving and attentive. Our mom is happier at Oak Park than she was while living with family because she gets more interaction, more stimulation, and more attention than ever before.
Thank you Oak Park Manor and your entire staff. We don’t know what we would do without you!
